Aims & Objectives

The Hartlepool United Supporters Panel (HUSP) is proposed as a consultative group of club supporters that will meet on a quarterly basis with a designated club Board member.

The panels primary purpose is to engage in positive dialogue, sharing ideas, and conveying feedback on behalf of supporters that in turns assists the club to improve and progress, including with supporter engagement and experiences. In summary HUSP will have the following key objectives

  • A cross section of supporters and stakeholders providing regular feedback directly to a designated club Board member
  • A designated club Board member engaging with supporter feedback and providing club updates with consultation where feasible
  • Improved two-way communication between the club and supporters
  • Collaboration to identify and deliver projects that improve matchday experiences and supporter engagement

Panel Representation

It is anticipated that HUSP will be composed of a cross section of club supporters and stakeholders including from established supporter groups and entities. Representatives on the panel will collect and summarise feedback from their respective networks.

As the designated club Board member, John Pearson will chair the panel. He will be working to establish the HUSP representatives over the coming weeks, including liaising with current supporter groups for nominations.

HUSP representatives will be periodically reviewed each season to ensure it is representative of the supporter base.

Meetings Agendas

A quarterly HUSP meeting will be held with agendas set in advance and minutes documented by the club.

On field performance and highly commercially sensitive information will not be discussed at these meetings. Items for discussion will cover non-playing areas including matchday operations, supporter experiences, facilities and community led considerations.

Whilst there will be no fixed matters to formally vote on, the club may with consensus of the panel bring some matters to vote e.g. improvement projects for matchday experience.

The minutes of the meetings will be reviewed by the club’s senior management and full Board and where appropriate senior club staff may attend certain meetings to assist agenda items.

Code of Conduct & Confidentiality

All HUSP members will be required to comply with a code of conduct to ensure behaviour is respectful at all meetings. The Chair/panel may suspend or expel any member whose conduct renders them unfit for membership.

From time to time, confidential or commercially sensitive information may be shared with HUSP members ahead of public release. Members are expected to act with the utmost discretion in such circumstances.
