Michael’s first team debut came on 21st September 2004 when he was a late substitute in our 2-1 League Cup defeat away to Crystal Palace. A month later, on 30th October 2004, he made his league debut in the 1-0 home win against Port Vale.

His goal in our 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town in March 2006 was voted the 2005-06 goal of the season.

Michael sighed his professional contract on 4th July 2006.

Michael was tragically taken from us far too soon on 20th October 2007 and his squad number was retired in his memory.
