Harvey Cartwright joins Pools

Hartlepool United Football Club are happy to announce the signing of goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright on a season-long loan

The 23-year-old joins Pools from EFL Championship side Hull City.

With loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Grimsby Town, Cartwright has EFL experience under his belt.

Cartwright has played 29 games in the EFL, 25 of those in League Two for The Mariners.

The young goalkeeper also has international experience, having caps for England at youth level.

On joining Pools, Cartwright said:

“I’m delighted to get started.

“I can’t wait to just get going on Saturday [v Yeovil Town], straight into the league, straight to work.

“The boys are a good set of lads, I’m sure I’ll get to know them even more as the season progresses.

“I’ve heard good things about the support here, so I’m excited to play in front of them and experience the crowd.”

Pools boss Simon Grayson said:

“We are delighted to have signed Harvey.

“He is a goalkeeper who had a really good loan spell in 2023-24 at Grimsby Town, and was around Hull City’s first team last season.

“He will add competition to the goalkeeping department, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
