Jermaine Francis signs for Pools

Hartlepool United Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Jermaine Francis from League Two side Barnet for an undisclosed fee. The forward spent the majority of the 2024-25 National League season on loan at Braintree in between brief cameos for the champions, playing 34 league games overall.

Francis scored eight goals in the National League – one against Pools for Braintree at the Cressing Road Stadium. The 23-year-old has represented Grenada at international level 15 times, making his debut in September 2023.

On signing, Francis said:

“I am really happy to have signed here and look forward to a positive season, and hopefully giving the fans something to get excited about”.

Manager, Simon Grayson said:

“I’m really pleased to have beaten off competition to sign Jermaine. He’s a versatile young player who we feel will only improve and also add a different dimension to the squad, with being able to play in any attacking role. Last season he had a really successful spell at Braintree as well as representing the Grenada National Team, so we’re delighted to have him on board.”
