Loan Watch: Storey scores for West Auckland

Pools winger Max Storey was on the scoresheet for West Auckland Town this weekend in Northern League Division One.

The youngster scored in the 85th minute as West Auckland suffered a 4-1 defeat to Carlisle City, having only 12 players at their disposal.

Second-year scholar Charlie Berry also played the full 90 minutes at The Wanted Metal Stadium.

In the National League, Manny Onariase made his 12th league appearance for Maidenhead United on Saturday.

The Magpies fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Sutton United, seeing them 22nd in the league table.

Joe Aungiers helped Whitby Town claim a point in the Northern Premier League Premier Division at the weekend.

The second-year scholar came on in the 66th minute as the Seasiders played out a 1-1 draw with Hyde United.

The point sees Gary Liddle’s side sit 18th in the table, one place above the relegation zone.

In the East Division, Tye Grundle was an unused substitute for Bishop Auckland as they battled out a stalemate with Belper Town.

Alfie Steel played an hour for Ossett United during their 2-0 defeat at Dunston, leaving them 17th in the table.

And finally, Josh Mazfari was in between the sticks for Redcar Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The Steelmen gained a point at Boro Rangers in a 1-1 draw, with Carl Jarrett’s side remaining top of the Northern League.
