Ferguson revisits 2021/22 cup run

“I cut in from the left and, for some reason, took a shot with my right foot. It took a massive deflection and it was a great feeling when it hit the net.”

Those are the memories of Pools left-back David Ferguson as he scored against his former side Blackpool in the third round of the 2021/22 Emirates FA Cup.

“Then the draw after that, getting Crystal Palace, was just an unbelievable feeling. It was a fantastic day for everyone involved and something that I’ll be able to remember for years to come.”

Ferguson goes in detail about that cup run, which concluded in a trip to Premier League side Crystal Palace, in Saturday’s matchday programme against Brackley Town.

The programme also features Darren Sarll’s views, a look at the opposition and the latest news from our Foundation and Academy.

The digital version of the programme is priced at £3 and can be purchased from Pools Retail in due course.

Limited copies of the physical programme will be available ahead of kick-off from the following outlets:

  • Club Shop
  • 1908 Bar
  • Centenary Bar
  • Acland Homes Stand bar

Please note all payment methods are card-only, other than the Club Shop where cash is also accepted. Supporters are advised to arrive as early as possible due to the limited amount available.

Any remaining physical programmes will be sold on our retailing website after the fixture.
