HUSCF raise over £500 for Dementia Groups

On September 21, at Hartlepool’s home fixture against Dagenham, our Community Sports Foundation raised awareness to challenge the stigma that persists around Alzheimer’s disease and all types of Dementia.

The Foundation would like to thank all Pools supporters, Hartlepool United Supporters Trust, Hart of Our Club and volunteers from Dementia Groups who helped raise funds by bucket collecting at the match.

A total of £546.54 was raised to support Young Onset Dementia and Hartlepool Dementia Groups.

Twenty-one participants from our Dementia and Alzheimer’s project, including friends and family, attended the fixture in the Maidens Lounge.

Through the Premier League Fans Fund, HUCSF have been able to run several activities, supporting people with Dementia alongside their friends and families.

Every Tuesday between 10am and 12pm, they host a social hub with chair exercises in the Centenary Lounge at the Prestige Group Stadium.

And every Wednesday at the same time, they’re at Larry’s Lanes Bowling in Seaton Carew.
