Versatile midfielder Mitch Hancox joined Pools on loan from York City in November 2023. He has previously worked under John Askey twice in the past.
A product of Birmingham City, Hancox played 33 times in the Championship before moving to Askey's Macclesfield and winning promotion to the Football League.
After spells at Solihull Moors and Hereford, the 30-year-old moved to York in 2021 and won the National League North play-offs under Askey.
