Hometown midfielder Dolan returned to Hartlepool in 2023, having played on loan at the club in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.
Dolan, a product of Middlesbrough, had spells with Bradford and Yeovil following his departure from the Riverside.
He then enjoyed a five-year stay with Newport County, making over 200 appearances for the Welsh outfit.
In January 2023, Dolan signed for Pools on loan before the move was made permanent in the summer.
