Jordan Richards

Date of birth

175 cm

Whole-hearted full-back Richards has come through the ranks at Victoria Park having been on the books with Pools since he was just ten-years-old.

In 2010/11 he was named Youth Team Player of the Year and was rewarded for his star performances with his first professional contract at the Club.

He went on to make his First Team debut when he came off the bench against Oldham Athletic in March 2012 and added to his senior experience with a run in the side during 2013/14.

Although originally a midfielder, Richards has been successfully converted in to a full-back though he still maintains the desire to get forward and also possesses a wonderful crossing ability.

The 2015/16 campaign proved to be a frustrating one for Richards as, after completing a gruelling pre-season programme, he picked up an injury just before the big kick-off.

Always dependable when given a chance in the side, the Club opted to take up the option year on his contract at the end of last term and he’ll be hoping to make a big impact during 2016/17.

Richards was allowed to spend time during the second half of the season on loan at Alfreton Town where he impressed before re-joining Pools to play his part in the last fortnight of the campaign.
