Team News: Pools v Wrexham

Niko Muir, Chorley v Hartlepool United

Craig Hignett is set to be without Niko Muir after the front man was withdrawn with a hamstring injury during Saturday’s goalless draw at Chorley.

Defender Myles Anderson is also a doubt after he was also forced off at Victory Park and needed four stitches in a wound above his left eye.

Nicke Kabamba made his comeback from the bench after ankle trouble and could feature against Wrexham, while Josh Hawkes is also pressing his claims after returning to training following a hamstring strain.

Kenton Richardson (ankle) is due to step up his work next week but will miss out on Monday, as will Luke Molyneux (leg) and Luke Williams (knee).

Wrexham boss Bryan Hughes will welcome Bobby Grant back in to his squad after the front man completed a three-game ban following his red card in the game at Dover Athletic.

Christian Dibble – the son of former Wrexham and Pools keeper Andy – will continue in goal at The Vic unless Rob Lainton can recover from an ankle injury sustained at the start of pre-season.

Ben Tollitt will hope to push for a starting spot against Pools after coming off the bench during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Barnet following his loan move from Blackpool.

Defender Manny Smith isn’t expected back from a troublesome knee injury until Christmas.
