Onariase signed for Hartlepool in July 2023 from Dagenham & Redbridge, where he made over 100 appearances in the National League.

The centre-back played for West Ham, Brentford and Rotherham when he was younger. His first exposure to senior football came on loan at Cheltenham Town in 2017.

More recently Onariase enjoyed two spells with Dagenham, with a stint at Scunthorpe United sandwiched in between.
