Left-back Robinson started his career in the North East with Middlesbrough, where he made one appearance in the Championship, while gaining National League experience on loan at Yeovil Town in 2021/22.

The following season saw Robinson join Carlisle on a temporary basis, which was later made permanent as the Blues won the League Two play-off final.

He spent two years in Cumbria before returning to the North East and signing for Pools in February 2025.
