The right-sided defender joined Pools in January 2023 after a lengthy spell with Middlesbrough.

Dodds first played for Newcastle United as a youngster before a five-year stint in Boro’s academy. He became a regular for their U23s and made his first-team debut in the EFL Cup against Barnsley in August 2022.

In the first half of the 2022/23 season, Dodds was sent on loan to Darlington and made 14 appearances in the National League North. He then made a permanent move away from Boro as he linked up with Hartlepool.
