The centre-back, who made 12 appearances for Wales at youth level, played three times during pre-season for Pools and got on the scoresheet away to South Shields, earning a contract at Victoria Park.

It’s the third time Sass-Davies has played under manager Darren Sarll in his career, having previously enjoyed loan spells at Yeovil Town and Woking.

Sass-Davies also spent a large portion of his career at Crewe Alexandra, playing nearly 50 times for the Railwaymen, while spending last season on loan at Boreham Wood.
