Hartlepool United are delighted to announce that Jamie Sterry has signed a new contract to stay with the club till the end of the season.
Jamie signed a short term deal just before Christmas and has been a vital part of the squads recent success ever since. The full back has started the last four games which have resulted in four victories for Dave Challinor’s side.
The manager has spoke about Jamie signing his new deal:
‘Jamie has come in and done what he’s wanted and that’s to play games. His quality is there to be seen and he’s fitted in brilliantly. He’s at home, he’s enjoying playing football and he wants to be successful. We’re delighted that he wants to be with us at least until the end of the season and try to make this a special one in very different and difficult times for everyone.’
‘I must thank the chairman and club for trusting and backing our judgement on the players we have and are wanting to add to the squad. We are in a good place and want to continue to improve.’
Jamie Sterry also spoke about his new deal:
‘I am delighted to get this sorted. I am enjoying my football and I am enjoying being a part of this squad. It obviously helps when your winning but they are all a great bunch of lads and I’m excited to see how the rest of the season progresses’.
