Peter Kioso was taken to Chesterfield Royal for assessment after being stretchered off during the second half of Tuesday night’s 5-1 win at The Proact Stadium.
The Pools defender underwent over ten minutes of on-field treatment following a clash of heads with Chesterfield substitute Mike Fondop who was also forced off after the collision.
Pools boss Dave Challinor was unsure of the extent of the injury when he spoke to the media after the game and said will await news from the Club’s medical staff overnight.
“Peter will go to hospital and get checked out,” Challinor explained.
“It would be remiss of me to say that it’s not too bad at this stage because I really don’t know but, fingers crossed, he will be fine.
“It’s the one downer on what had been a perfect night for us really.”
We’ll have the latest news on Kioso on Wednesday.
