Pools boss Craig Hignett was delighted to be able to land striker Nicke Kabamba on a permanent deal during the summer after a successful loan spell last term.
The front man joined Pools from Havant & Waterlooville in January and went on to become only the second player in the Club’s history to score in all of their first four games.
Instantly a fans’ favourite, the 6ft 3ins star actually netted five goals in his first four outings – only the third player to score as many so quickly and the first since 1946.
The former Portsmouth striker made his name during a prolific spell at Hampton & Richmond before earning his Pompey move where he played a part in their promotion from League Two.
Loan spells at Colchester United and Aldershot Town followed before he joined Havant last summer but a return to full-time football with Pools proved too much to turn down.
