Pools moved extremely quickly to draft in highly-rated midfielder Liam Noble during the summer of 2018 following his decision to leave Notts County.
Noble is tried and tested at National League level having captained Forest Green Rovers to Play-Off Final glory in 2016/17 – a campaign which saw him create and score goals regularly before being named in the division’s Team of the Year.
He was a threat in the final third for Pools last term too, top scoring from midfield with 13 goals and also chipping in with 9 assists for his teammates.
A graduate of Sunderland’s much-admired Academy, Noble went on to make his name initially during a highly successful loan spell at Carlisle United which turned permanent in 2012.
His form at Brunton Park earned him a move to Notts County in 2014 where he went on to become a fans’ favourite thanks to his combative style allied with a knack for creating and scoring goals, hitting double figures in 2015/16.
A return to Meadow Lane last October saw him once again play his part in the engine room as County made it to the League Two play-offs but his desire to return closer to his North East roots paved the way for a move to Pools.
With over 300 senior games under his belt, Noble brings a wealth of experience and a real winning mentality to the Victoria Park dressing room.
