Highly-rated young front man Aidan Keena joined Pools on a permanent deal from Scottish Premiership side Hearts in January 2020.
The striker came through the ranks at St Patricks Athletic in his native Ireland before winning a move to Hearts in the summer of 2017 where he has excelled in the Under-20s side.
Keena gained senior experience with a loan move to Queen’s Park at the beginning of 2018 and he went on to score eight goals in 16 appearances for The Spiders.
After making his senior debut for Hearts, he was allowed out on loan to Dunfermline and prospered once more as he hit the net five times in 12 games.
Pools boss Dave Challinor had been monitoring Keena’s progress and moved quickly to bring him to the North East when he was allowed to leave Tynecastle.
