Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the loan signing of David Parkhouse.
The striker joins us from Sheffield United on a loan deal till January 2021.
The 20-year-old Northern Ireland youth international striker has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blades but has just returned from international duty where he scored in a Euro qualifier against Malta U21s.
Before lockdown, Parkhouse was on loan at League Two side Stevenage but that was cut short due to COVID. During the 2018/19 season he had a loan spell with Derry City where he scored 19 goals in 39 appearances for the League of Ireland Premier Division side.
Manager Dave Challinor spoke about the signing of Parkhouse:
“We are delighted to get David in. It is somewhere on the pitch we have been looking to strengthen and he provides us just that. He is a goal scorer and a U21 international so I believe he can do very well in this league”.
David also spoke to us about his move to Pools:
“After seeing The Vic, I am even more excited than I ever was. This is a huge club and I want to come in, score goals and help the side as best I can”.
Parkhouse will go straight into training but will not be involved in tomorrow’s fixture at Morpeth.
