An evening with Poolies past & present

9 November 2023

We're raising money for Alice House Hospice on Friday, November 17 as we host an evening with past and present Poolies.

The event will start at 6:30pm in the Maidens Lounge at the Suit Direct Stadium.

Guests will receive a welcome drink and a hot supper. There will also be meet & greet session, Q&As with the players and a raffle at the end of the night.

We have four past players confirmed for the evening who will be telling some of their favourite stories during their time in the blue and white.

Tommy Miller made over 600 career appearances, 176 of which for Hartlepool United. The midfielder first joined Pools as a 15-year-old and spent seven years at the Suit Direct Stadium, before returning to the Club later in his career. Miller also played for the likes of Sunderland, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday.

Jim Provett came through the Club's youth set-up and, having made his senior debut in 2002, played a total of 78 games for Hartlepool. Most notably, Provett won the 2004 Player of the Season award.

Jonathan Franks enjoyed two spells at Hartlepool, playing 165 games across four seasons. He was a member of the 2014/15 squad which secured League Two survival despite being 10 points adrift in January.

Another member of the Great Escape squad was Scott Fenwick. The forward spent 18 months at Hartlepool and scored 12 goals for the Club, including the opener against Exeter City on the day Pools clinched survival.

Several present players will also in attendance. Tickets are priced at £15 with proceeds going to Alice House Hospice. Click here to purchase or call the Hospice on 01429 855555.
