After last week's thrilling home draw, Hartlepool United go in search of further points as they travel to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday (3pm KO).
The Opposition
Tranmere are 12th in League Two, six points off the play-offs. Their recent form has seen them win three of their last five games, including a 1-0 win over Stevenage last time out.
Led by Manager Micky Mellon, the Rovers side features two former Poolies. Brad Walker and Josh Hawkes both play in the engine room for Mellon's side, while former Pools loanee Harvey Saunders plays in attack.
The History
The sides have met 129 times in the past, with Pools winning 42 times, Tranmere winning 58 times, and 29 matches ending in a draw. Earlier this season, the sides played out a 0-0 draw at the Suit Direct Stadium.
Pools have lost just three of the last 15 fixtures between the sides, with current coach Tony Sweeney scoring across two fixtures and Peter Hartley bagging a goal during his first spell with the club.
Team News
Peter Hartley and Jamie Sterry are likely to miss out due to injury, though the latter's suspension has now been served. Nicky Featherstone and Dan Dodds are also continuing their return from injury, so John Askey has some decisions to make in terms of personnel for the trip.
