Pre-season fixtures confirmed

1 June 2023

We are delighted to confirm our pre-season schedule as John Askey and the side prepare for the 2023/24 National League campaign.

Middlesbrough FC (H)

We kick-off pre-season against North-East neighbours Middlesbrough FC at The Suit Direct Stadium. Michael Carrick's side ended the season in the play-offs and narrowly missed out to Coventry City in the second-leg. The fixture will be played on Friday 14th July, 7pm kick-off.

£12 Adults. £7 concessions.

Blyth Spartans (A)

Our second fixture will be played at Croft Park as we face Blyth Spartans. The National League North side are now managed by former Aston Villa Striker Graham Fenton. The game will played on Saturday 22nd July, 3pm kick-off.

Ticketing details to follow in due course.

Redcar Athletic (A)

We face two away fixtures on the bounce as we head to Redcar Atheltic. The Northern League Division One side finished their campaign 6th and will host the game at Green Lane on Tuesday 25th July, 7.30pm kick-off.

£5 Adults. £3 Concessions. £1 Under 16's.

Harrogate Town (H)

The penultimate pre-season test will see us welcome familiar faces in Harrogate Town. We faced Simon Weaver's side four times last season, winning two, drawing one and losing the away fixture. Their side contains a few former Poolies in Luke Armstrong and Matty Daly who has recently signed a permanent deal. We welcome Harrogate on Friday 28th July, 7.30pm.

£10 Adults. £5 Concessions.

Sunderland AFC (H)

Our final pre-season fixture will see us face Championship outfit Sunderland AFC. The black cats also narrowly missed out on promotion as they were defeated by eventual winners, Luton Town. It will be repeat of last years pre-season fixture which ended 1-1 following a Danny Batth own-goal and Embleton's equaliser. Tony Mowbray's side will head to The Suit Direct on Tuesday 1st August, 7.30pm.

£12 Adults. £7 concessions.
