We are delighted to confirm John Askey will be taking his side on a pre-season training camp in Scotland next week.
The Hartlepool United first team will travel to SportsScotland National Sports Training Centre in Inverclyde from 17th July to 20th July.
The players will be put through their paces on a four-day intensive training camp as we prepare for the 2023/24 National League campaign.
John Askey has spoken about next week's camp:
'It's an opportunity for us to train with the players 3-4 times a day which you don't get back home. It’s a chance to bond and embed the new players in. We have a clear programme and we’re looking forward to it.
We know our biggest strengths and weaknesses and the programme we have put together will allow us to work on different things, maintain fitness levels and allow individual players to focus on their own improvements.'
Pools face their first pre-season test on Friday night as Middlesbrough are the visitors at The Suit Direct. Following the Scotland camp, John Askey's side will travel to Blyth Spartans. The full pre-season schedule can be found here.
