Hartlepool United have another chance to boost their survival hopes as Colchester United come to the Suit Direct Stadium on Saturday (3pm KO).
The Opposition
Colchester currently sit 18th in League Two, five points above Pools having played one game more. In all, the U's have won seven of their 28 games this season, though three of those wins have come in their last five games.
Matt Bloomfield is in the Colchester hot seat, and he leads a team that has recently been bolstered by the addition of Tom Hopper. Experienced midfielder Alan Judge is a midfield regular for the U's, while two former West Ham attackers, Freddie Sears and Frank Nouble, feature ahead of him.
The History
This will be the 64th meeting between the sides, with Pools winning 20 of the previous fixtures. Colchester have won 27 games and 16 matches have ended in a draw. Earlier this season, the sides drew 1-1 in Essex after Wes McDonald's strike was cancelled out by Bez Lubala's last-minute goal.
Current coach Tony Sweeney has netted on three separate occasions in the fixture, scoring in 2005, 2011, and 2012.
Team News
Jamie Sterry should be available for the fixture after being rested for the midweek clash with Carlisle, but Rollin Menayese will miss out after leaving the pitch on a stretcher. Tom Crawford and Alex Lacey are long-term absentees, while Saturday is likely to come too soon for Callum Cooke.
