After a hard-fought point at home to Sutton United, Hartlepool United are back on the road as they head to Crewe on Tuesday evening (7.45pm KO).
Crewe are 19th in the table, six points above Pools. They've won seven of their 28 matches this season, with their last victory coming on New Year's Day at home to Tranmere. Lee Bell is the Alex's first-team manager, and he took up the role after two successful spells as a player with the club.
Charlie Finney, brother of recent Pools signing Oli Finney, plays for the Alex, while loan signing Ryan Finnigan has hit the ground signing after joining from Southampton.
The sides have met 138 times in the past, with Pools winning 47 times. Crewe have been victorious on 64 occasions, while 27 matches have ended in a draw. Earlier this season, Pools claimed a 1-1 draw on the road. Josh Umerah put Pools ahead with a penalty before Dan Aygel hit back with a few minutes to go.
In the last five meetings, Pools have lost just once, and they haven't lost to Crewe in the league since 2012.
With no new injury concerns after Saturday's game, Keith Curle has plenty of options for Tuesday's fixture. Alex Lacey and Tom Crawford are long-term absentees, and Callum Cooke is still working his way back to fitness, but otherwise, it's a relatively clean bill of health.
