Hartlepool United are delighted to announce that £7404 has been raised for the Royal British Legion following our Remembrance Day fixture.
Money was raised towards the Royal British Legion through our replica and match-worn Remembrance Day shirts. The Club also sold poppy pin badges and organised a raffle which added to the final total.
Sian Cameron, Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal Organiser, commented:
"On behalf of Hartlepool’s Poppy Appeal Team, I would like to thank everyone at Hartlepool United for this absolutely amazing donation. The supporters and club staff have been fantastic, with a special mention to Sarah Rowntree (Retail and Ticket Office Manager). We're beyond grateful for the support that Pools provide every year. To have our local club put so much time and effort into raising funds for our Poppy Appeal is heart-warming and very much appreciated."
Rose Stoker, Hartlepool United Commercial and Operations Director, added:
"As a Club, we are proud to support the Royal British Legion with this donation. Supporting the Armed Forces community is very important to us and we thank everyone who helped in our fundraising efforts."
