After a narrow defeat to Chesterfield, Hartlepool United make the pre-Christmas trip to Wealdstone on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
After the home defeat to Chesterfield, Pools find themselves 15th in the National League. With key players slated to be back soon however, John Askey's side will hope to see an improvement as the New Year approaches.
Wealdstone are two places above Pools in 13th, currently two points ahead of Askey's men. Stuart Maynard's men have lost just once at home all season - to Dagenham & Redbridge in August.
The sides have met three times in the past, with Pools triumphing on all three occasions. In September, goals from Tom Crawford and Mani Dieseruvwe gave Pools a 2-1 win. Before this season, 3-1 and 7-2 victories during the 2020/21 promotion season were played out, with Richie Bennett scoring a hat-trick in the latter.
Little has changed in terms of team news since last week. Charlie Seaman continues to miss out due to a stomach issue.
Anthony Mancini returned to full training last week but Saturday may come too soon for the midfielder. Tom Crawford, Luke Hendrie and Alex Lacey are expected to return after the New Year.
