After three wins in a row, Hartlepool United are set to welcome AFC Fylde to the Suit Direct Stadium on Saturday (5:30pm kick-off).
The Lowdown
John Askey's side are in buoyant mood after wins over Gateshead, Maidenhead, and, most recently, Southend United. Last weekend's comeback showed the characters of Askey's team, with goals from Tom Crawford, Joe Grey, and the in-form Charlie Seaman.
Fylde have had a mixed start to the season. After a draw with Maidenhead on the opening weekend, they've sandwiched a win over Kidderminster with losses against Chesterfield and Wealdstone. They're currently 15th in the National League on four points.
Only one current player has a history with the opposing side, that being Crawford who had a brief loan with Fylde in 2019/20. However in the boardroom, Chris Beech who is Fylde's Director of Football played over 100 times for Pools.
The History
The sides have met just five times in the past, and Pools are still looking for their first win over the Coasters. They've drawn twice and lost three times in their previous games. Last time out, Pools drew 2-2 at home after a brace from Gime Toure was cancelled out by a Croasdale double for Fylde.
Team News
Josh Umerah serves the final game of his three-match ban when the Coasters come to town. Kieran Wallace made his comeback from injury in last week's match with Southend, and he'll be in contention for a starting place and his official home debut. Oliver Finney will also be available for selection after an injury layoff.
