After last Saturday's last-minute draw with Colchester United, Pools return to the Suit Direct Stadium to take on Doncaster Rovers (3pm KO).
The Opposition
Doncaster are sixth in League Two after winning four of their seven league games this season. Their side is led by Gary McSheffrey and it features former Poolies in Luke Molyneux on the wing and Jonny Mitchell between the sticks.
The History
The sides have met 101 times previously, with Pools winning 35 times, Doncaster winning 38 times, and 28 games ending as a draw. The last time the sides met was in 2017 on the last day of the season.
Pools needed to win and hope that results from elsewhere went their way. Despite Devante Rodney's brave securing a 2-1 victory, a late winner for Newport saw Pools relegated to the National League.
Team News
Josh Umerah, Mika Ndjoli, and Jamie Sterry will all face late fitness tests after missing last week's match with niggles.
