Hartlepool United are delighted to announce that Lennie Lawrence has joined the club as a Non-Executive Director.
The former Middlesbrough Manager will join the board in an advisory role on footballing matters.
Lennie comes with vast hands-on football experience having personally managed over 1,000 games across all the divisions including a promotion to the newly formed Premier League back in 1992 with our North-East neighbours Middlesbrough.
He has worked as a coach, a manager and director of football for likes of Bradford, Cardiff and Crystal Palace. In more recent years Lennie has held advisory positions at various clubs including Stevenage and Newport County.
Chairman Raj Singh commented:
“We are delighted to bring Lennie to Hartlepool United. I’ve been in constant dialogue with him since he moved back to the area earlier this year. There’s a mutual agreement that Lennie will be with us till the end of the season where we will then sit down and reassess the situation. For now, he will provide a great knowledge of the game following his managerial successes and it’s another step in the right direction for this Football Club.”
