Pools sign Reghan Tumilty

21 June 2022

Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the signing of Reghan Tumilty. The 25-year-old full-back becomes Paul Hartley's first outfield signing after being appointed First Team Manager.

Tumilty started his career at Dundee United in 2013, but made his first senior appearance with Ross County. A loan spell at Falkirk saw him feature under Hartley, and after leaving County, Tumilty signed for Greenock Morton. A loan spell at Dumbarton followed before he joined Raith Rovers in 2020.

At Rovers, Tumilty made 85 appearances and scored four goals. Predominantly a right-back, he can also operate on the right-hand side of midfield and will add options to Hartley's new-look squad.

Reghan added: 'Delighted to sign for Hartlepool United. This is a great opportunity to play in the EFL and also work with Paul once again. When I was aware of the interest, there was only one club I wanted to sign for. I have seen videos and photos of how great these fans can be and I can't wait to get started'.

Paul Hartley commented: 'Reghan is someone I've worked with before. A great character and hungry for sucess. He can play in multiple positions which gives us great options. He works hard and we are looking forward to getting him involved with a busy few weeks of pre-season to come'.

Tumilty completes his move to Pools subject to international clearance.
