Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the signing of Jake Hastie following the forward’s departure from Europa League finalists, Rangers.
The 23-year-old has spent time at Rotherham, Motherwell, Partick Thistle, and Linfield, and he’ll now don the blue and white stripes under Paul Hartley.
Capable of playing on either wing and in attacking midfield, Hastie scored six goals in 19 appearances for Motherwell prior to joining Rangers, and bagged three times on loan at Rotherham in the 2019-2020 season.
Paul Hartley added:
Delighted to get Jake in. Someone I’ve seen a lot of. He needs a change of scenery. Still a young lad. He needs a home and somewhere where someone can believe him. He’s got real pace. Very good in one on one situations and I know he will bring a lot of excitement.
Jake added: This is an exciting move for me. I'm ready to push on and help the team the best way I can. I've seen a lot of videos and pictures of the fans and I can see they create an unbelievable atmsophere, I can't wait to get started.
The forward joins us subject to international clearance.
