A first pre-season game for Pools ends in defeat as a strong Hibernian side come out 2-0 winners.
A game in three thirty minute sections to allow an opportunity for water breaks was settled by a first half opener from Henderson and a second half header from Porteoeus.
A few opening for Pools throughout the game saw bright spells and debuts for Jake Hastie, Euan Murray, Reghan Tumilty, Alex Lacey, Mouhamed Niang and Kyle Letheren.
Post-match, Paul Hartley added: ‘It was always going to be tough with the numbers we’ve got but it’s a good test for the lads and an opportunity for them to get to know eachother.
We’ve got a lot of hardwork to do and bring in some numbers but we are excited for the project ahead’
Debutant Euan Murray added: ‘It was obviously tough conditions but it was a good run out. I enjoyed being alongside Alex Lacey at the back and we’re all happy with the minutes in the tank’
Pools travel to St.Mirren next Tuesday for the next pre-season test.
