Pools sign Bilokapic

31 January 2022

Hartlepool United are pleased to announce the signing of Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic on loan for the remainder of the season.

Since the departure of Jonny Mitchell, Pools have been keen to get a goalkeeper through the door, and Bilokapic will now join Ben Killip and Patrick Boyes in the squad for the second half of the 2021-2022 season.

A highly-rated young goalkeeper, Bilokapic stands at 6’4” and has previously represented Australia U17s at the U17 World Cup in 2019. He currently plays for Huddersfield’s B Team, where he has appeared alongside former Pools loanees Matty Daly and Romoney Crichlow.

Talking about the signing, Graeme Lee said:
"Very pleased to get Nicholas in. He has come highly recommeded as a great young talent. He has been amongst the first team all season and thanks to Huddersfield we have been able to get him in on deadline day."

Bilokapic said:
"I am delighted to join Hartlepool. As soon as I heard about the interest it was a no brainer. I am here to help the squad as best I can and learn and develop whilst working with Ben and Dimi"

The goalkeeper will wear number 31 but is cup tied for this weekends FA Cup clash.
