After last week’s defeat, Hartlepool United are looking to bounce back with their first home match of the 2022/23 season as they take on AFC Wimbledon (3pm KO).
The Opposition
Wimbledon finished 23rd in League One last season, resulting in their relegation to the fourth tier. Manager Johnnie Jackson oversaw a positive start to the campaign last week, with the Dons beating Gillingham 2-0 at home.
The History
Since Wimbledon’s rebirth, the sides have met six times. Pools have won four times, while the Dons have won twice. The sides last met in 2016, and Craig Hignett’s side were 1-0 victors thanks to Adam Jackson’s strike.
Team News
Eight players made their competitive debuts last Saturday, and Paul Hartley might make further changes following the negative result. Joe Grey and Mika Ndjoli will miss this week, while Jamie Sterry has continued to build his fitness after missing the majority of preseason.
How to follow
The game will be live on Pools iFollow from 2.50pm. UK fans will have commentary only from £2.50 with overseas viewers able to stream the game from £10 by clicking here.
