An insight into Leyton Orient

26 August 2022

Hartlepool United travel to the Breyer Group Stadium on Saturday to face Leyton Orient in search of their first win of the season. To preview the visit, Jacob Hackett spoke to Orient supporter Richard Munro.

What are your expectations for Leyton Orient this season?

Richard: “Leyton Orient’s target is to get into the play-offs or to try and go for the League Two title

How do you reflect on the season so far?

Richard: “We are having a great start to the season, similar to last season, but it is important [that] we get through the winter months with consistency. I remember Leyton Orient under [Kenny] Jackett, [we] went three months without winning a single game [and] kept losing 1-0 every week.”

What are your thoughts on Orient boss Richie Wellens?

Richard: “He is a top class manager [and] has all the skills and knowledge [needed], he is the best out there to succeed. Wellens is a great man, I highly rate him.”

Which players should we look out for on Saturday?

Richard: “The players that Hartlepool have to watch out for are [Theo] Archibald, [Ruel] Sotiriou and [Charlie] Kelman. They are no doubt the best players in the Leyton Orient squad.”

Finally, a score prediction?

Richard: “Leyton orient 3-1 Hartlepool. Wellens has built a solid squad and it is exciting times at Brisbane Road.”
