Continuing to help Ukraine

29 April 2022

We are delighted to announce a donation of £100,000 to Khalsa Aid from our ‘United For Ukraine’ campaign fund.

Khalsa Aid is an international NGO with the aim to provide humanitarian aid in disaster areas and civil conflict zones around the world. The organisation is based upon the Sikh principle of "Recognise the whole human race as one”.

The donation directly from Club Chairman Raj Singh will help three different hubs across Europe that have direct ties to assist those in Ukraine.

Raj Singh added:

'It is a charity I have been aware of for a long time. It is a Sikh based charity that do a lot of good work both in this country and overseas. I have seen a lot of the great work they have done and that’s why I felt like they were suitable.’

Khalsa Aid CEO Ravinder Singh commented:

‘We support refugees across the world and different crisis'. Operations to include medical aid, shelter and food provision. When the crisis first happened, within two days we had set up a 24-hour langar provision, serving hot food to the refugees as they crossed the border.

We would like to thank Club chairman, Raj Singh for his generous donation. It is through people like Raj that we can continue to work and help in different areas across Europe that will make an instant impact to the current people of Ukraine.'
