Match preview: Morecambe FC

Still unbeaten at home in League Two, Hartlepool United turn their attention to the Papa Johns Trophy against Morecambe on Tuesday evening. Pools will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing result against Stevenage at the weekend, with Dave Challinor likely to make changes.
 
The Opposition
 
Morecambe currently playing in League One, sitting 13th after 11 games. Led by Stephen Robinson, the Shrimps are also likely to make changes in the cup, with Connor Pye and Freddie Price two of the mentioned names.
 
The History
 
This will be the 11th meeting between the sides, with Pools winning six of the previous games. Morecambe have been victorious on two occasions, and two games have ended in a draw. The most recent result saw Pools defeated 3-0 in the 2017 FA Cup.

Pools are still likely to be without key players, including Gavan Holohan, Gary Liddle, and David Ferguson. Given the quick turnaround from Saturday, changes are likely, with Mark Cullen, Reagan Ogle, and Martin Smith all hopeful of opportunities.
 
Tyler Burey is a long-term absentee, while Joe Grey is still receiving treatment for his injury.
