After a disappointing weekend at home to Forest Green Rovers, Hartlepool United travel to Swindon Town looking for three points on the road.
The Opposition
Swindon currently sit 4th in League Two, six points above Pools in 12th. They’ve won eight of their opening 16 matches, including a 2-1 away victory against Newport at the weekend.
Led by head coach Ben Garner, the Robins’ side features former Pools loanee Romoney Crichlow, former Wales midfielder Jonny Williams, and top scorer this season, Tyreece Simpson.
The History
This will be the 30th meeting between the sides, with Pools winning six of the previous encounters. Swindon have won 11 and 12 games have ended in a draw.
The last clash between the sides saw a 1-1 draw played out in 2013 after Andy Monkhouse’s strike.
Team News
Gavan Holohan missed out on Saturday, and it’ll be a case of wait and see as to when the Irishman can be involved again. Aside from Tyler Burey, the rest of the squad is fit and available.
Jamie Sterry will miss out following his red card against Forest Green. The influential right-back will miss three games in total.
