Dave Challinor's men played out a friendly game against Middlesbrough Under 23's at Rockcliffe Park.
Pools were defeated 2-1 with Luke Williams getting on the scoresheet.
Two goals from the hosts at the beginning of either half saw Boro take a two-goal lead. On 80 minutes, a long free-kick from Crawford played in Williams who was able to dink the ball over the Boro goalkeeper to get one back.
Despite a dominant second-half display from Pools and big chances for Ofosu and Williams to get an equaliser, the game ended 2-1.
