Hartlepool United are now ten games unbeaten in the National League as Luke Armstrong sealed a 1-0 win.
A quick fast paced start to the game saw both teams enjoy possession in the attacking third. The first big chance of the game fell to the hosts. A ball into the box was met by the head of Wilson, who was stood all on his own, but the midfieler could not hit the target.
12 minutes in, Oates showed his pace down the left-hand side, beating his man, getting to the byline to then be dragged down by the rushing back Dagenham defender, big penalty appeals from Pools but the referee showed no interest.
The Daggers then took their turn to attack. On 29 minutes, Sagaf thought he had the whole goal to aim at when the ball fell to him in the box but a huge block from Johnson denied the forward.
The hosts were left wondering how they weren't ahead after the following corner was met by Balanta but his header was just wide.
On 43 minutes, it was Dave Challinor's men that took the lead. A Ferguson corner was headed home by Luke Armstrong to send Pools 1-0 up going into half-time.
Pools started the second half the stronger side with plenty of possession in the attacking third.
Luke Armstrong will have felt he should have had his second as on 48 minutes an unbelievable double save from Justham denied the forward putting Pools to goals ahead.
Just two minutes later, the Daggers goalkeeper pulled off another low, great save to this time deny Holohan from the edge of the box.
Oates continued to put pressure on the Daggers defence as a pacey run on 70 minutes saw the forward get to the byline but his ball across was unable to find a man in blue.
Man of the match Justham, denied Armstrong again and Sterry in the last few moments as Pools were able to hold on for the 1-0 win and go ten games unbeaten in the National League.
