The route has been announced for the open top bus parade to celebrate Hartlepool United's stunning return to the Football League.
A 90-minute parade will take place tomorrow (Friday 25th June) – starting at 5pm to allow families to enjoy the uplifting occasion.
The Leader of Hartlepool Council, Councillor Shane Moore, said: “It's absolutely fantastic to see Pools back in the Football League and I hope residents will welcome the opportunity to safely show their support and appreciation.”
Raj Singh, Hartlepool United Football Club Chairman, said: “We're really grateful to get this opportunity to say thank you to our fans and I'd encourage residents to enjoy the event safely and remember to maintain good social distance at all times.”
Those wishing to see the parade are being asked to do so from the point closest to their home address and are reminded of the importance of keeping a safe distance from others at all times. We would also strongly encourage residents to wear face coverings.
Inspector Danny Trippett from Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We know how proud local people are of the team and would just ask that when celebrating people follow all the COVID safety guidance and do it sensibly.”
