After Saturday's thrilling 4-0 win over Weymouth, Hartlepool
United are preparing for their first play-off game since 2005. Dave Challinor's
men will take on a Bromley side that have shot up the league to claim seventhplace and a chance at promotion from the fifth tier.
Bromley are second in the National League form table,
winning four of their last six games. Wins against Notts County, Aldershot
Town, Wealdstone, and Pools, combined with credible draws against Torquay
United and Notts County have helped propel The Ravens up the table and intotheir first National League play-off campaign.
The team is led by Andy Woodman, a former goalkeeper coach
in the Premier League, and features veteran goalkeeper Mark Cousins and 23-goalstriker Michael Cheek.
The most recent game against Bromley is still fresh in the memory of Pools fans. In early May, Pools travelled to Bromley where they lost a narrow game 1-0. Gary Liddle was sent off for a second yellow towards the end as Pools finished with 10 men.
In all, Bromley have won five of the previous encounters,
with Pools only winning once. In March 2018, goals from Josh Hawkes and MichaelWoods saw United defeat Bromley 2-1 at Victoria Park.
Dave Challinor has no new injury concerns to contend with as we enter this crucial stage of the season. Luke Armstrong sat out Saturday's game against Weymouth, but he should be available by Sunday. Jamie Sterry and Gary Liddle were substituted on Saturday, but Challinor has stated that this wasn't due to injury.
Several players will be pushing for starts in the play-offs,
including Danny Elliott and skipper Ryan Donaldson who both impressed onSaturday.
