Shelton and Odusina extend contracts.

12 July 2021

We are delighted to confirm that we have opted to extend the contracts of both Mark Shelton and Timi Odsuina.

The two players will stay with the club for another season.

Both brought in as loan signings during Dave Challinor's first season, the defender and midfielder were made permanent signings at the 2020/21 National League campaign.

Shelton joined the club in January 2019 from his parent club Salford City and made 14 appearances with three goals.

Shelton came through the ranks at Burton Albion before making a name for himself during a successful spell at Alfreton Town which persuaded Salford to pay money for him in 2017.

During his time with City, he played his part in back-to-back promotions, helping The Ammies drive up from National League North to claim their place in the EFL.

Odusina joined the club on loan from Norwich City. The defender had been with The Canaries since he was 14 when he made a move from Arsenal and he signed professional terms at Carrow Road in 2016.

Odusina then gained vital experience with Dave Challinor at AFC Fylde before rejoining with the manager at Hartlepool United.
