Match report: Wealdstone head to The Vic

7 January 2021

Hartlepool United will be looking to make it four wins from four as they take on a newly promoted side Wealdstone FC.

Pools haven't played since the 28th of December with Halifax at New Year being postponed. Dave Challinor's side are currently second in the National League.

Wealdstone currently sit 14th in the National League having played 15, won six, drawn three and lost six. Their last game came on Boxing day where they were beaten 4-0 away from home to Maidenhead.

The Stones were promoted Champions of the National League South last season. 19 new signings came through the door at Grosvenor Vale as manager Dean Brennan looks to establish his side in the National League.

We spoke to Dave Challinor ahead of Saturday's fixture:

'We have had a little time off but we are raring to go. It is an important few days for us in terms of Saturday and then Tuesday's rearranged game'.

'We were a little disappointed to see the Halifax fixture postponed but you can look at it both ways. Ferguson would have missed out and a few lads would have been carrying little injuries'.
