Match preview: Pools head to Weymouth

21 January 2021

Dave Challinor's team have their first game since the 9th January as Pools travel to Weymouth.

With the Halifax fixture being postponed, Pools last played two weeks ago with a 3-1 victory over Wealdstone at The Vic.

Saturday's hosts currently sit 21st in the National League table on nine points having played 16, winning two, drawing three and losing 11.

Weymouth's last game was played out last week after being knocked out the FA trophy in a 1-0 defeat to Darlington. Their last league game was on the 5th January in a 3-0 home defeat to Yeovil.

Since being promoted from the National League South last season, 13 new signings came through the doors of the Bob Lucas Stadium. This was including former Poolie Myles Anderson who is now on loan at Hampton & Richmond.

This is the first clash in history between Hartlepool and Weymouth. A win for Pools could take them within five points of league leaders Torquay.
