Match preview: Pools host Solihull Moors

7 February 2021

Hartlepool United will be looking to continue the momentum from their previous home victory as they host Solihull Moors in this 6pm, Tuesday kick-off.

Dave Challinor's men have now had to wait over a week since their last game with the weekend fixture at Dover being postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Pools snatched all three points on the 30th of January when Sutton United came to The Vic.

Solihull Moors currently sit 14th in the National League table on 26 points but have played three fewer games than Pools. The Moors' last game came on Saturday as they drew 1-1 at Eastleigh. They were previously beaten 2-0 at Notts County. Solihull's record currently stands at played 16, won eight, drawn two and lost six.

The first fixture this season between the two sides at the beginning of December was filled with plenty of controversy. A 2-0 defeat for Pools saw Timi Odusina sent off after he was deemed to deny a goalscoring opportunity. Overall, the two sides have met seven times, Pools winning three of those and losing four.

A victory for Dave Challinor's men can climb them back up to second depending on other results as we may potentially see the debut of new signing Tom White.
