We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Edward Jones.
The left sided defender joins us on a loan deal until January 2022 from Championship side Stoke City.
Jones, known for playing as a left wing back started his youth career at Bury before moving onto the Stoke academy.
The 19 year old had a loan spell at AFC Telford last season just before signing a pro contract with the Championship outfit.
Jones recieved a call up to the Wales u21 squad in March after impressing in the Premier League 2 division.
Dave Challinor reacted to his new signing:
Eddie is a player that comes recommended to us. He provides versatility with being able to play down the left hand side at both centre back and wing back. He is a good friend of Will's so that will help him settle in and we are excited to work with him after he returns from international duty.
Eddie is currently with the Wales U21 squad and will meet up with Pools after the international break.
